Attorney Biography
Julie Saltman is a transactional attorney specializing in intellectual property and regulatory compliance. Prior to co-founding Gersten Saltman, Julie was an assistant general counsel at the U.S. Copyright Office, and for over a decade, she was a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice. There, she defended various federal agencies in lawsuits raising complex constitutional and administrative law challenges to federal statutes, regulations, and policies, and handled immigration and tax litigation. Julie is an adjunct professor of Legal Research, Analysis, and Writing at the Georgetown University Law Center. She is a graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School
