Attorney Biography
Stewart Casper is a principal in the Stamford, CT law firm of Casper & de Toledo LLC. He is a summa cum laude graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and he graduated from the Hofstra University School of Law where he was a member of the Hofstra Law Review. He is a former Chairperson of AAJ’s Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group.He was the Editor-in-Chief of the TBILG Newsletter prior to assuming the Chairmanship of the TBILG. He is a member of the Legal Advisory Board for the Sarah Jane Brain Foundation.
Stewart is a Past President of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (1996-97) and has served as a member of the American Association for Justice’s Board of Governors since 2006 following seven years as a State Delegate. He is a member of AAJ’s National Finance Committee and Public Affairs Committee for which he served as Co-Chair of the Subcommittee on ERISA Pre-emption and Medicare Liens. In July 2010 he received AAJ’s "Distinguished Service Award".
In addition Stewart is listed in the Best Lawyers in America ® for both Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation and he’s also been recognized in "New York", "Westchester" & "Connecticut" Magazines under the "Superlawyers" designation since its inception in 2006. Stewart is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates and he is certified in Civil Trial Advocacy by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Connecticut and New York.
