Attorney Biography
I was born in Peoria, Illinois in 1970, and was raised in Galesburg, Illinois. I graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Lawrence University in 1992. I earned my Juris Doctorate degree, graduating Magna Cum Laude, from Northern Illinois University in 1998, where I was a member of the Northern Illinois University Moot Court Team and editor of the Northern Illinois Law Review. I am admitted to Colorado and Illinois State Bars and a member of the Colorado and Illinois State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and Juvenile Justice Council. I served as an Assistant State's Attorney from 2000 - 2007. Since that time, I have been a Criminal Defense Attorney and sole practitioner. I am certified as a Guardian Ad Litem, a Child Advocate, and Court Mediator. I am committed to providing the highest quality of services to my clients. I have handled thousands of DUI cases and have extensive experience in Probate, Trusts, and Family Law matters.I believe in giving each client the personal attention they deserve. Each case is important to me, there are no "small cases." I do not screen my calls. I personally speak with you. My goal is to be the best possible advocate for my clients. In doing so, I help my clients understand their rights and responsibilities so they are in the best position to make sound decisions for themselves and their family.
