Philip M. Bluestein

Philip M. Bluestein is the owner and founder of Rocky Mountain Law Firm (Formerly Bluestein Law Firm) Our firm has two divisions; Rocky Mountain Healthcare Law and Rocky Mountain Wills and Trusts. Rocky Mountain Healthcare Law focuses on helping Physicians, Dentists, Nurses and other Healthcare Professionals and Businesses build and protect their careers and practices. Rocky Mountain Wills and Trusts focuses on helping business owners and families plan for the future and protect their assets with effective will and trust planning.

Philip Bluestein works with doctors and other healthcare professionals and businesses throughout Colorado as well as clients outside of Colorado. This includes helpinghealthcare professionals with their professional employment contracts, starting, maintaining, buying or selling practices, regulatory matters, licensing and professional board matters, asset protection and estate planning, and helping doctors with the opportunities and challenges they face in their careers so that they can focus on taking care of patients.

Philip founded the Bluestein Law Firm in 1995 while living in Ohio. In 2000 he relocated the firm and his family to Colorado.

Upon graduating from law school, Philip practiced for a year and a half in one of the oldest firms in Cincinnati, Ohio that focused on estate planning, litigation and real estate. When he started his own firm, his then wife was a surgeon still in training. Over time he found that many medical professionals that he or his then wife knew began asking him questions related to contracts, careers, and practices. He realized this was a definite need he could address and developed his practice to help healthcare professionals.

Philip grew up in the Midwest. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in government with a minor in history from the College of William and Mary, Philip obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. From 1995 to 2003 he served as a Judge Advocate (JAG) in the US Army Reserves, where he primarily assisted soldiers with wills, powers of attorney and other assistance to meet their requirements prior to their being deployed. He completed eight years of service rising to the rank of Captain.

Philip is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Colorado Bar Association, and the Boulder County Bar Association, where he served as the co-chair of the Business Law Section for two years. He is licensed in Colorado and Ohio. Philip also serves as a board member on the Denver Jewish Chamber of Commerce.

At the office, Philip is always glad to introduce clients to golden retrievers Sadie and Zev, the office dogs. He is married and has two sons,Solomon and Isaac,and loves to spend time with his family. He also enjoys cycling, skiing, camping, and hiking.
