Lenny Frieling has been defending those facing criminal charges in Colorado since 1976. Now Senior Counsel Emeritus for Dolan & Zimmerman, Boulder Colorado, he also serves as Consiglieri to the firm. 

His practice has a dedicated focus on defending those charged with or under investigation for marijuana-related offenses as well as other drug violations He prioritizes giving each client personal attention and reviewing each case in detail to formulate a customized defense. The Colorado Criminal Defense Bar was instituted on the internet by Lenny and fellow defense attorney Philip Cherner. Lenny himself maintained the list serve for the first 6 years after the organization's establishment, as well as serving on the Board of Directors for 2 years. He is the Executive Director of Colorado NORML and has served on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Study, and the Colorado Municipal Judges Association. Memberships in other groups include the Victim and Law Enforcement Board, the Boulder Criminal Defense Bar. Lenny also was Chair of the Executive Council of the Criminal Law Section in the Colorado Bar Association, an extremely high honor that no one else has ever held for two consecutive terms.
