Christopher focuses primarily on family law matters such as divorce, child support and parenting time modification as well as estate planning matters such as wills, trusts, power of attorney documents, living wills and HIPAA waivers. Chris also works with clients on a variety of civil protection order matters.Before becoming a founding member of Springs Law Group LLC, Chris worked for two law firms in Colorado Springs focusing on family law and estate planning. Chris has run the spectrum of a case from the initial intake to mediation through final hearings. During this time, Chris discovered his passion rested in domestic relations cases which require detailed client interactions.During his time at the Denver Sturm College of Law, Chris clerked for the Honorable Judge David L. Shakes of the State of Colorado 4th Judicial District. Under Judge Shakes’ tutelage, Chris developed significant legal research and writing skills.Even before choosing a career in family law, Chris had a desire to work with families. This led him to become a teacher, where he acquired a unique understanding of the intricate workings of a variety of family situations. Chris combines the same care and concern he used on a daily basis as a teacher with his unique life experiences to help families achieve their legal goals. Chris believes in being upfront, direct and honest with his clients, guiding them through their legal journey together each step of the way. Chris and his family moved to Colorado in 2005 and continue to enjoy all the beauty the Colorado Springs area has to offer. In his free time, Chris enjoys playing games and watching movies with his family, going to concerts in Denver with his wife as well as working out at the gym.
