Attorney Biography
Alex Buscher, Esq. founded Buscher Law LLC in 2018 to provide legal advice to hemp companies in Colorado, and provide information regarding the benefits and uses of hemp nationwide.
At the time, consumers and companies were being told CBD was legal nationwide under the 2014 Farm Bill, which was false. In fact, most states still considered hemp a Schedule I substance. This remained true until 2018 after Buscher's Law Review on CBD was requested by U.S. Congress prior to the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill. Only after the passage of the 2018 Farm Bill and subsequent descheduling at the state level was a lawful hemp market realized.
Buscher has extensive knowledge regarding nationwide cannabis regulation, including a keen understanding of the critical importance of sensible and distinct marijuana, hemp, and cannabinoid-specific regulations. Buscher continues to analyze the complex and changing legality of hemp-derived products in all 50 states and advocates for sensible regulation which allows for continued innovation and diversification. Buscher now uses this extensive risk-mitigation and regulatory compliance experience for the benefit of clients in other industries to ensure client-businesses are adequately protected.
Born in Colorado, Alex has always enjoyed the mountains and outdoor activities that make the state so incredible. On the weekends you can find Alex breaking trail in remote alpine basins, rope-soloing local crags, mountain biking singletrack, splitboarding the backcountry, or snowboarding Telluride, Wolf Creek, and Vail.
