Steven L Weiss

Steven L. Weiss received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from The University of Southern California in 1979. Thereafter he earned his Juris Doctorate from Southwestern University School of Law and began practicing in 1983. After three years of practicing family law and other areas of law, he established The Law Office of Steven L. Weiss, focusing almost exclusively on family law matters. In 1994, Mr. Weiss’ earned his certification as a Family Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specializations, affirming his extensive knowledge in the complex realm of family law.

Mr. Weiss received the Super Lawyers distinction in 2006, and consecutively from 2013 to 2020. The Super Lawyer title is only awarded to the top 5% of attorneys in Southern California and reaffirms his professionalism, and skill assisting families through the family law process.

With over thirty-seven years of experience, Mr. Weiss is able to resolve matters in and outside the courtroom. In addition to representing clients’ best interests at trial or court hearings, he has regularly engaged in alternative dispute resolution methods through voluntary settlement conferences and private judging.

In his spare time, Mr. Weiss enjoys swimming, bike riding, running, playing with his dogs and visiting his family in Denver.
