Attorney Biography
Mr. Breddan has been in the practice of law since 1994. While he started his career working for others, he later opened his own practice in the San Fernando Valley which was predominately dedicated to all aspects of family law. A skilled family law litigator, Mr. Breddan regularly appears in courtrooms across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. He is a tireless advocate for his client’s rights and best interests with the goal of achieving the best possible results and in the process, assuring that children are not used as “pawns” or bargaining chips to accomplish a goal or agenda of either party. With decades of family law experience, Mr. Breddan has helped countless families throughout Calabasas, the Conejo Valley, San Fernando Valley, and Santa Clarita Valley through divorce, child custody and visistion issues, paterntity, domestic violence restraining orders, spousal support and post-judgment matters.
Mr. Breddan volunteers his time to the Los Angeles County Superior Courts, predominantly in the Santa Monica, San Fernando and Central Courthouses, as well as mediating in San Fernando, Van Nuys and the Central Courthouses. In 2016 Mr. Breddan was appointed as a Trustee to the San Fernando Valley Bar Association. Following his first year as Trustee, Mr. Breddan was successfully elected for a second term and in 2020 he was elected Secretary. He has served the SFVBA as President and in 2024 became the Vice-President for the SFVBA’s Valley Community Legal Fund. He looks forward to expanding his efforts and experience to serve the greater San Fernando Valley.
Mr. Breddan received his first AV Preeminent rating, Martindale-Hubble’s highest peer rating, in recognition of his professional excellence in 2019. He also also been selected to the Southern California Super Lawyers list in 2010, 2012, and consecutively from 2015-20214. In addition to his work in the legal community, Mr. Breddan is a board member of Haven Hills, a domestic violence organization, the Ventura County Council Boy Scouts of America, and BumbleeBee, a charitable organization for pediatric cancer.
