Attorney Biography
James V. Choulos, founding partner of Choulos & Tsoi Law Firm, brings more than 30 years of dedicated legal experience to clients throughout California. A graduate of U.C. Berkeley and Santa Clara University School of Law, James began his career under the mentorship of his father, renowned trial lawyer Vasilios Choulos. This early professional foundation instilled in him a commitment to justice, compassion, and client advocacy. James focuses primarily on personal injury law, representing individuals and families affected by severe accidents, unsafe property conditions, and wrongful death. Known for his hands-on approach, he works closely with clients to understand their circumstances and build strategic, evidence-based cases aimed at maximizing compensation and accountability.
James is an active member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association, the Consumer Attorneys of California, and the American Association for Justice. He has also served on a mediation panel for the Marin Superior Court, contributing to fair and effective legal resolution practices. Outside of his legal work, James is an outdoors enthusiast who enjoys motorcycling, cycling, and spending time with his daughter.
