Gerald R. Prettyman is a Patent and Intellectual Property lawyer for U.S. and International filings. His focus is assuring clients receive global protection with Patents, Trademarks, Copyrights and Contracts. His patent work includes software, solar applications, electronics, medical and bio-medical applications and design patents. He is a Registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, and is licensed in California and Minnesota.
‘Jerry’ earned a law degree and a post-graduate Masters degree in Intellectual Property (LL. M.) from the Golden Gate University School of Law, as well as a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from U. C. San Diego. Prior to his law career, Jerry was an engineer, including work in product design, material and product testing, regulatory compliance, quality control and assurance, and nuclear power plant testing for the U.S. Navy. Jerry is a U.S. Navy (Hospital Corps) Veteran. Jerry and his wife reside in Pleasanton with their furry family of three dogs. Jerry volunteers with Rotary while his wife volunteers with Paws In Need.
