Attorney Biography
Before obtaining her law degree, Dena earned her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a concentration in Religion from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Dena graduated from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, Dena worked as a law clerk, office manager, trainer and supervisor for established and respected family law attorneys in the Sacramento Area.
Dena strongly believes in community service and dedicates her time and talents to several worthy causes. Dena has been a board member of the Woman Lawyers of Sacramento (WLS) since 2007. Woman Lawyers of Sacramento is an organization that reaches beyond the practice of law to promote the interests of women by advocating for legislative changes supporting women and children’s issues. WLS also supports qualified woman candidates for judicial appointments and offers several scholarships to deserving applicants annually.
Dena has also assisted in Operation Protect and Defend; an organization geared toward educating America’s youth on the Constitution of the United States. Dena remains active in her support of WEAVE, WLS annual ArtFest, Sutter Roseville NICU and routinely serves as a Volunteer Attorney Mediator in Placer County Superior Court.
Dena is a member in good standing of the American Bar Association (ABA), California Bar Association (CalBar), Sacramento County Bar Association (SCBA), SCBA’s Family Law Section and Placer County Bar Association (PCBA). She has also attended and completed several trainings for trial advocacy.
In her spare time, Dena enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys traveling, working out, supporting the arts and riding horses.
