Shevitz Law Firm represents debtors in business reorganizations, individual debtors, and creditors and interested parties in bankruptcy proceedings under Chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code and related business litigation matters.
History
Prior to establishing Shevitz Law Firm in 2015, David Shevitz was an associate attorney at a boutique bankruptcy firm where he represented individuals and businesses in Chapters 7, 11 and 13 as well related business litigation matters from 2011 to 2015.During law school, David Shevitz served as a legal intern for the Honorable Sheri Bluebond, US Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and served as an intern for the Office of the United States Trustee's Santa Ana Division.Mr. Shevitz has also served as staff writer and research editor of the Loyola of Los Angeles Entertainment Law Review.
Meet the Business Owner
David Shevitz was born and raised in Southern California. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California Los Angeles and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Loyola Law School Los Angeles. Unlike many other attorneys in the field of bankruptcy, David knew he wanted to practice bankruptcy law during law school. He took numerous bankruptcy courses including general bankruptcy law and business reorganizations under Chapter 11.
He also gained valuable bankruptcy experience while obtaining his law degree by serving as a legal intern for the Honorable Sheri Bluebond, US Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California and serving as an intern for the Office of the United States Trustee's Santa Ana Division.Prior to opening up Shevitz Law Firm, between 2011 and 2015, David was an associate attorney at a boutique bankruptcy firm where he represented individuals and businesses in Chapters 7, 11 and 13 as well related business litigation matters.
