Attorney Biography
Specific experience:
One of my first jobs out of law school was as a deputy public defender. At Barker & Associates I represented a young woman who had been charged with 6 felonies. The jury found her innocent on all six counts and she left the courtroom a free woman.
In another criminal case, my client wrote a letter to his employer that was very moving as he described how he had several attorneys before one was assigned to his case and how I was the only one who had seen him in jail, listened to him, and had actually worked for him on his behalf. This meant a lot to me.
I also was very pleased to have won an appeal on a penalty abatement for a client from the IRS for over $22,000 in penalty abatement and the abatement on interest charged for each penalty.
I was able to qualify a client of mine for an offer in compromise with the IRS, she owed $40,000.00 and i was able to get it settled for $400.00.
I especially like to work for Union Members and the Military. Having family in the military, it brings me great pleasure to be able to provide relief to those individuals. I offer a special discount to these individuals.
