Cheryl Thompson should be disbarred
She has represented me several times, ass a conflict panel attorney. Most recently, she stopped my
case from being dismissed, by pulling strings, finding a retired judge to come in on short notice
and moving my case to an empty courtroom, via an undeclared sidebar, with the judgeb who was sitting
in the curtain, where all cases that had reached their statutory deadline were being dismissed. The
explanation she gave me, for why she was fighting to keep my criminal case open, when
the DA could do nothing but spectate, was that she "had to make sure my case didn't get transferred
to Blythe, or Banning", from Murrieta, Ca. I requested a Marsden hearing and the judge (who was
selected by my attorney) denied my request for new counsel. The Marsden hearing was then sealed and
stricken from the record. I don't know if this is common practice, but it seems indicative if the
kind of conflict that Mrs. Thompson was hired by the court, to avoid. In any case, literally, Cheryl
Thompson does not possess the moral and ethical character required to be an officer of the court and
I would not suggest hiring her as counsel, because you can't be certain whose interests she will
choose to represent.
