Worse Representation Ever!!!
I had the unfortunate luck of hiring this guy as my attorney. During the process he has been very
disorganized. I submitted documents to him on several occasions that once they were needed in court
he did not have them. Mr. Proffitt never accepted my input regarding my defense. He was very
nervous during the court appearances and let the other attorney speak over him. When the defendant
was clearly not telling the truth and I asked him to follow up with a question to confirm, he
advised me that it wasn't necessary. Due to his lack of representation, I lost custody of my
children. I paid his a significant amount of money to do absolutely nothing. He then requested
more money after my expressing how I felt regarding the way the case was handled. I do not
recommend anyone to ever hire this attorney. I also gave him a substantial retainer for my criminal
case. The first court appearance he advised me that I was not on the calendar. Later that day I
received a call from the bail bond agency stating that I had a warrant for failure to appear. I
have never seen such incompetence in all my life.
