Attorney Biography
Steve Abed was born in Philadelphia, PA, and raised in New Jersey. He attended Rutgers University and came to Arkansas in 1990 to attend law school at the Bowen School of Law in Little Rock. Abed is licensed to practice law in Arkansas and has been admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and Texas but is currently inactive in those states.
Abed has been practicing law in Arkansas for over 25 years. Since graduating from law school, he has practiced in both criminal and civil law areas. In 1994, he went to work for a local firm and then worked as a deputy prosecuting attorney in Pulaski County. He went on to defend criminal cases as a Deputy Public Defender in Pulaski County as well.
His work helping people took him to Gary Eubanks & Associates which later became Gary Holt & Associates. Abed handled personal injury cases for 15 years before moving on to the Arkansas Department of Transportation. He has tried over 75 jury trials, hundreds of bench trials, litigated Arkansas State Claims Commission cases, and mediated and arbitrated cases. He joined Rainwater, Holt & Sexton in 2022. His passion is helping people.
Steve enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. He likes to read, spend time with friends, and watching the Hogs.
