Attorney Biography
Paul D. Friedman is a nationally recognized speaker, writer, consultant and expert in the area of medical, legal and business ethics. He has been a practicing civil trial attorney since 1989 and was an Adjunct Professor at Midwestern University which incorporates the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is currently an Adjunct Professor with Arizona State University School of Law. Dr. Friedman is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Examiners®and a Certified Instructor with the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute where he wrote the manual and instructs other forensic experts in the Certified Forensic Consulting® Course. In addition to his forensic experience and instructing, Paul also has been a Designated Real Estate Broker for over a decade. Paul Friedman is a Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is Certified by the State Bar of Arizona Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Injury and Wrongful Death Litigation. He is also a Diplomate with the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys. In addition, he is an Associate with the American Board of Trial Advocates. He is licensed to practice law in Arizona, Colorado (inactive) and Washington D.C. (inactive). He is licensed to practice law in the District Court of Arizona, Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and United States Supreme Court. Paul was first named as a Superlawyer® in 2007, is rated AV™ Preeminent® by Martindale Hubbell (Highest Rating) and also has the top rating with AVVO. Dr. Friedman graduated from the University of Arizona in 1985 (Bachelor of Arts with High Distinction), where he was admitted to the academic honor society Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from California Western School of Law in 1989 (Juris Doctorate Cum Laude) where he was an editor of the California Western Law Review and chief editor of the California Western Directory. He received a master's degree in 2004 (Master of Arts in Bioethics) where he graduated with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the College of Health Sciences at Midwestern University which housed the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Friedman received his doctorate in philosophy (Ph.D. Magna Cum Laude) from LaCrosse University in 2006 in the area of comparative ethics with his dissertation entitled "Morality and Ethics: An Analysis of Medical, Legal and Business Ethics from a Casuist Perspective."
