Attorney Biography
Spencer Phillips was drawn to the legal profession through early exposure to workers’ compensation, inspired by his mother’s work helping injured employees navigate the system. That influence shaped his desire to advocate for people harmed by negligence, a mission he carries into his personal injury practice at DM Injury Law. Spencer approaches every case with a strong client-first mindset, focused on service, understanding, and results.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Spencer attended Hyde Park Baptist High School before earning his undergraduate degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Kansas School of Law. During law school, Spencer interned with the KU Law Medical-Legal Partnership, where he gained hands-on experience assisting underserved individuals and sharpening his ability to resolve complex legal challenges with practical solutions.
What distinguishes Spencer as an attorney is his understanding that effective legal representation extends beyond legal knowledge alone. He believes exceptional advocacy also requires strong communication, empathy, and a high level of client care. Known for his natural ability to connect with people from all backgrounds, Spencer provides compassionate, thoughtful guidance that helps clients feel supported and confident throughout the legal process.
Outside of work, Spencer enjoys watching movies and staying active through basketball, golf, and fantasy football.
