Attorney Biography
Michael Lester represents injured individuals across Missouri and Kansas in cases involving automobile and commercial vehicle collisions, defective products, and unsafe premises. He takes a highly individualized approach to representation, investing the time to understand each client’s life, goals, and challenges so he can develop a strategy that fits their specific circumstances and delivers meaningful results.
Prior to joining DM Injury Law, Michael spent seven years defending trucking companies in complex personal injury litigation. Over time, he recognized that his skills and experience would be better used advocating for those who had been harmed. Making the transition to plaintiffs’ work, Michael brought with him a deep understanding of how trucking companies and their insurers investigate crashes, assess liability, and evaluate claims. Today, he uses that insider knowledge to uncover critical data, anticipate defense strategies, and strengthen his clients’ cases.
A Kansas City native, Michael earned his undergraduate degree from Rice University in Texas before returning home to complete his Juris Doctor at the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law. He graduated magna cum laude from both institutions.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, Maureen, and their children, Teagan and Thomas.
