Attorney Biography
Matt Sain’s commitment to service and advocacy was shaped early in life by growing up with parents who were both pastors. That foundation instilled in him a strong sense of responsibility to stand up for people who have been treated unfairly. Matt earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, where he balanced his legal studies with work, family life, and an ambitious run for public office. He was elected to serve in the Missouri General Assembly, giving him the rare opportunity to apply his legal training directly to the lawmaking process.
While serving as a State Representative, Matt gained firsthand insight into how legislation is drafted, debated, and implemented—experience that continues to inform his legal analysis today. He also discovered a natural ability to connect with people through storytelling, an essential skill he now brings to his work as a trial attorney at DM Injury Law. Matt approaches every case with a tailored strategy, understanding that effective advocacy requires both legal precision and the ability to clearly communicate a client’s story.
Matt knows that serious injuries often occur without warning and can change lives in an instant. He is passionate about holding responsible parties accountable and fighting for justice on behalf of those who have been harmed.
Outside the courtroom, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons. He’s also known for his enthusiasm for financial conversations—especially about Roth IRAs—and for occasionally reminding people that he once competed in video gaming. Matt is a professional member of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys. A lifelong Missourian, he remains deeply invested in his community and regularly volunteers with Harvesters food bank and other organizations throughout the Northland.
