Attorney Biography
Janelle Miller is a personal injury attorney at DM Injury Law, serving clients from the firm’s Topeka office. Drawing on her background as a former prosecutor, she brings a strategic, client-centered approach to cases involving motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, and other personal injury claims.
Raised in Topeka, Kansas, Janelle developed an early passion for advocacy by watching her mother serve as a union steward and fight on behalf of her coworkers. Inspired by that example, Janelle decided at a young age that she wanted to become an attorney so she could help others in the same way. Her interest in the law first took shape in high school when she interned with the Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Division. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree from Washburn University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law.
After law school, Janelle began her career representing the State of Missouri as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney. She later served as an Assistant District Attorney in Shawnee County, Kansas, before working as a contract attorney for the State of Kansas, representing the Department of Children and Family Services. These roles provided her with extensive courtroom experience and a deep understanding of litigation from the government’s perspective.
Today, as a dedicated plaintiffs’ attorney, Janelle uses her trial experience and prosecutorial insight to position her clients for success. She is known for her passionate, individualized approach and for taking the time to truly listen, empathize, and educate her clients about their rights. In every case, Janelle approaches advocacy with diligence and determination, working tirelessly to secure the compensation her clients deserve.
