Dave Johnson is a dedicated advocate who is deeply committed to protecting the rights of those he represents. Throughout his career, he has worked relentlessly to ensure his clients are heard and treated fairly. When meeting with new clients, Dave makes a deliberate effort to understand their experiences from their perspective, an approach that allows him to effectively challenge powerful corporations and other negligent parties.
During his college years, Dave immersed himself in advocacy-focused pursuits, including public speaking, debate, forensics, and mock trial. He earned multiple honors in mock trial competitions, served on the Board of Advocates, and helped lead and organize a mock trial tournament, experiences that helped shape his courtroom confidence and leadership skills.
Following his academic training, Dave clerked for a judge on the Jackson County Circuit Court, where he discovered a strong interest in personal injury law. He later served as a Special Assistant Attorney General for the Missouri Department of Revenue, litigating cases against impaired drivers. That experience reinforced his commitment to representing injury victims who might otherwise be overlooked.
Clients working with Dave can expect hands-on guidance, consistent communication, and assertive representation. His practice focuses on complex personal injury matters, including wrongful death claims, motorcycle accidents, insurer negligence, and insurance bad faith cases.
Outside of his legal work, Dave enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and two daughters. He is an avid tennis player and remains actively involved in his church, where he serves as a teacher. Dave also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kansas City and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD).
