Attorney Biography
Addison Haynes brings passion, compassion, and drive to her role as an attorney. Although she initially set out on a path in science, her journey into the legal profession took an unexpected turn during the COVID-19 pandemic. A shift in her coursework led to a law clerk position in Lawrence, Kansas, where she quickly realized that the law was where she belonged.
While attending the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law, Addison sharpened her advocacy skills as a member of the mock trial team. In her final semester, she helped secure a win at the National Military Trial Competition—an experience that proved transformative. Standing before the judge during that competition, she felt fully confident and grounded in her role, a moment that continues to inspire her commitment to client advocacy.
Addison views each case as a chance to expand her knowledge and strengthen her skills, whether it resembles past work or presents a new challenge altogether. Empathy is central to her practice, shaped by her personal experience surviving a serious car accident at age 17. Having firsthand knowledge of how disorienting and overwhelming trauma can be, she approaches every client with care, patience, and the understanding that they may be facing one of the most difficult moments of their lives.
Originally from Dardenne Prairie, Missouri, Addison earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas before completing her JD at UMKC. She now calls Kansas City home and proudly supports the Chiefs, while still holding strong loyalties to the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues. Outside the office, Addison enjoys reading, writing, attending live music events with her boyfriend, and spending time with her four pets.
