The plaintiff, a Nebraska resident, suffered a
traumatic brain injury when a semi-truck failed to
maintain its lane and collided with her vehicle on
an interstate highway. The client experienced
long-term cognitive issues, headaches, and memory
impairment as a result of the crash. The defense
initially disputed liability, citing weather
conditions and comparative negligence. Through
expert testimony, accident reconstruction, and
medical evidence presented by Ausman Law Firm, it
was shown that the truck driver had exceeded safe
operating hours and was fatigued at the time of
the crash.
