Attorney Biography
Howard L. Bolter is a Certified Labor and Employment Law specialist and has practiced employment law for the past 25 years.He is a shareholder in the law firm of Fishman, Carp, Bescheinen, Bolter & Van Berkom, Ltd.He received his BA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1985 and his JD from William Mitchell College of Law in 1988.Howard has litigated and tried employment cases in both State and Federal Court, and has argued employment related appeals in the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court, the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.He has been involved in countless administrative proceedings in the Minnesota Department of Human Rights and the EEOC.Howard represents mainly employees, though occasionally advises and represents employers.He is a frequent lecturer on a variety of employment topics and a trained mediator.Howard has been named a Minnesota Law & Politics Super Lawyer every year since 2001.He is current Chair for the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Minnesota Bar Association and a member of the Board of Labor and Employment Certification.
