During the 2000 to 2001 school year, Jane Doe 1
alleged that her kindergarten teacher sexually
abused her while she was a student at Woodbine
Elementary School, under the jurisdiction of
Cicero School District 99. Additionally, Jane Doe
1 alleged that Cicero School District 99 failed to
implement and enforce policies to protect students
from sexual abuse. At trial, the jury rendered a
$2.5 Million verdict in favor of Jane Doe 1.
