Attorney Biography
Donna Parkinsonis the managing partner of Parkinson Phinney. She has more than thirty years’ experience practicing bankruptcy and commercial insolvency law, during which time she has represented numerous banks, creditors, creditors' committees, receivers, governmental departments, financial institutions, insurance companies, trustees and wholesale companies, addressing bankruptcy and commercial insolvency issues. She is certified by the American Board of Certification in Business Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights. She is also certified as a bankruptcy specialist by the California State Bar. Donna’s broad experience includes individual creditors, secured lenders and creditors’ committee representation in chapter 7, 9, 11 and 13 cases, dealing with foreclosure and relief from stay, cash collateral agreements, adequate protection, lien preservation, plan negotiations and defending and negotiating cram downs. She is also knowledgeable regarding lease and contract assumptions and rejections, reviewing and evaluating budgets, operating reports, appraisals and other financial reports, disclosure statements, and evaluating and negotiating reorganization plans. She has participated in numerous contested evidentiary hearings and trials.
