Attorney Biography
Following my Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Marine Corps in 1966, I attended and graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia. I finished my first year of Law School at Temple University in Philly and decided to move to the Bay Area (after attending a marine buddy's wedding in Danville). I finished law school at the University of San Francisco in 1971 and was sworn in in January 1972.
My practice has always been criminal defense. In 1983 I was certified by the State Bar as a Criminal Law Specialist. I met Ed Kuwatch in the mid 70's and we formed the Bay Area Deuce Defenders Assoc. It has grown to a state wide organizaion of lawyers committed to the aggressive defense of persons accused of DUI (California DUI Lawyers Assoc.)
I have probably tried more DUI cases than any defense lawyer in Northern California. I tried the first .08 case in Vallejo after the new law went into effect and got not guilty verdicts. I have handled DUI cases in virtually all northern and central callifornia counties as well as Los Angeles and Bakersfield.
