Biography

Lisa Haines is a respected and seasoned TRIAL lawyer with 20 years in Tarrant County Criminal Courts, first as an Prosecutor (13 yrs) and now as a zealous Defense Attorney. If you are looking for a lawyer who truly cares about you and your legal dilemma, who will work diligently with and for you every step of the way, and who will be available to answer your questions throughout the case, contact Lisa Haines. 817-877-5472.  Lisa works hard to get the best possible resolution for every type of charge, whether shoplifting, DWI or an aggravated felony.  She knows that for a client, any arrest can be emotionally devastating, can ruin your reputation, maybe even get you fired.  Lisa scrutinizes the police reports and witness statements of each case, looking for 4th Amendment violations and any ulterior motive for filing the charge.  She pro-actively seeks reasons why the Grand Jurors should no-bill (dismiss) a felony case, why a felony should be reduced, or a misdemeanor should be dismissed.  Recent no-billed cases have included 1st degree Injury to a Child, Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Assault Family Member, Aggravated Assault Deadly Weapon, Sexual Assault of Child Under 17, Assault Family Member - Impeding Breathing, Forgery, Drugs.

She is well-versed in the diversion programs for first time offenders, where a qualified client could potentially get his/her case dismissed and immediately expunged.  Qualifying charges include drug possession, assault, theft, forgery, failure to identify, credit/debit abuse, false report, burglary (vehicle or building), evading arrest, criminal mischief, criminal trespass, fraudulent use of ID, tampering with govt record, etc.

Lisa devotes herself to helping her clients, particularly those who have mental health issues.  She understands how mental health issues overlap into criminal arrests.  Probate judges appoint Lisa to represent clients who are involun-tarily detained at a psychiatric hospital and at risk for civil commitment.

Ms. Haines is a highly regarded, aggressive, and well prepared criminal defense attorney. From shoplifting or DWI to aggravated robbery and murder, Lisa Haines protects her clients' rights throughout the legal process.  She handles DWI, Misdemeanor and Felony charges of every level, ALR Hearings, Expunctions, Occupational Driver's License, Probation Revocations, Grand Jury, and Suppression Hearings.  Lisa has handled jury trials on nearly every type of felony: murder, manslaughter, aggravated sexual assault of a child, engaging in organized criminal activity, aggravated assault-deadly weapon, possession of controlled substances, etc.  She has extensive trial experience in misdemeanor cases such as DWI, assault-family violence, and marihuana.  Lisa is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas, in recognition of her extraordinary participation in continuing legal education courses every year.  She attends DWI seminars every year to keep up to date on issues particular to DWI cases.

Lisa has been recognized as AVVO "Client Favorite" and one of Fort Worth Magazine's "Lawyer Worth Knowing." Clients continually rate her as "excellent" regarding her legal knowledge, responsiveness, and trustworthiness. Read client and peer evaluations at  AVVO.com. and Lawyers.com.  She is rated A+ by the Tarrant County Better Business Bureau.  The office (with free parking) is located in the heart of Sundance Square, in downtown Fort Worth, just up the street from the criminal courthouse and jail.  Emails and calls are returned nights and week-ends (LisaHainesLaw@att.net  817-479-9331).  FREE initial consultation on criminal cases in office or by phone. Very reasonable rates and payment plans are available.  LisaHainesLaw@att.net   817-877-LISA   Website: lisahaineslawfirm.com.
