John A O'Leary

Mr. O'Leary received his B.A. Degree from The Citadel, Charleston, South Carolina (1966) and his J.D. at the University of Detroit, Detroit, Michigan (1969). In addition, Mr. O'Leary attended graduate school at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois (1970).

He is a member of the State Bar Associations of Florida, Michigan and South Carolina

Mr. O'Leary joined the S.C. Criminal Justice Academy staff in late 1973 and served as Staff Attorney and Legal instructor until his appointment as Director in 1982.

In 1988 Mr. O'Leary opened his law practice and currently has offices in Columbia and Edisto Beach, South Carolina handling Criminal, Products Liability, Employment, Person Injury, and Wrongful Deathcases. Additionally, O’Leary serves as Counsel for the South Carolina Troopers’ Association.
