My practice as an attorney is limited to family law cases. In January 2007, the NC State Bar certified me as a family law specialist. In January 2011, I was recertified as a specialist in family law. I handle cases ranging in complexity from a simple divorce to complex equitable distribution and support matters. My preference, especially for cases involving children, is to resolve child custody issues privately and amicably so the needs of the children are fully met and the relationships between the parents are preserved so they can effectively communicate and cooperatively work with each for the benefit of the children. If litigation is the preferred way to resolve the marital issues, I zealously represent my clients in court and in other litigation activities within the bounds of the law and with strict adherence to the Rules of Professional Conduct. I represent mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, grandparents and others who need effective legal assistance.

My partners and our associates have diverse practice areas ranging from real estate closings, to construction litigation, wills and estates, contract disputes, homeowners associatons, business representation, zoning and land disputes, debt collection, incompetency and guardianship, traffic citations.
