Attorney Biography
I am a Board Certified Workers' Compensation Specialist and a certified Superior Court mediator. I am Co-Editor of the LexisNexis publication, "North Carolina Workers' Compensation Law: A Practical Guide to Success at Every Stage of a Claim." I was named "Lawyer of the Year" for 2014 by Best Lawyers in America in the practice area of "Workers' Compensation Law: Claimants" for the Raleigh metropolitan area. I am a past Chair of the Workers' Compensation Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. I serve on the North Carolina State Bar Workers' Compensation Specialization Committee and on the North Carolina Industrial Commission Advisory Council. I graduated from UNC School of Law and the University of Notre Dame.
