Attorney Biography
Penelope Strong has practiced criminal defense for over 35 years in state and federal courts. She prides herself on aggressive, client- focused representation and setting an individualized goal for each client.
She has litigated trial and appellate cases of constitutional significance, incluidng the 1998 Montana Supreme Court decision that invalidated the former " reasonable and prudent " speed limit, resulting in enactment of a numerical speed limit in Montana.
Litigation of cannabis cases is one major focus of her current practice and overcoming the unfair laws and unjust traffic stops and arrests that lead to prosecution of various indivduals. when approporiate she seeks outright dismissals of charges or diversion agreements to avoid criminal convictions for her client and other unfair repercussions.
She is a former two term board member of the National Assocaition of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a member of their Reentry Task Force.
