About Theodore Buselmeier

Attorney Biography

I am currently seeking search cases based on “smell only”.  The current law allows this but with medical marijuana and now hemp (looks and smells the same as marijuana), I intend to seek dismissal and change the law!

I am a passionate advocate for victims of the war on drugs. The senseless jailing of nonviolent drug offenders must stop! Complete legalization of marijuana will help accomplish this goal. I practice primarily criminal defense, representing those accused of any crime.

People often ask me…

"How can you represent someone knowing they are guilty?"

My response is always the same: If I was an emergency room doctor treating a gunshot wound, I wouldn't ask whether my patient was to blame for his fate. I would simply treat the injury and save a life!

To my clients, this is a matter of life and death. Being a defense attorney isn't for the faint of heart. I'm not here to judge you, I'm here to treat the injury and save your life. I'm here to do whatever it takes to minimize the damage and restrictions that being charged with a crime threatens to bring to your life. The last thing I want to see is my clients locked in a kennel or tossed into the clutches of an unforgiving government establishment.

"America needs fewer laws, not more prisons." – James Bovard

Many clients are accused of violating some law that doesn't even make sense in the first place. Many clients have made a really bad decision that they regret. Many clients are falsely accused. To me, it doesn't matter what got you here, it's about where we can go from here.

I will give you the advice you need to get the best results possible in the most efficient and effective way possible. We will work together to focus both on outright dismissal of your case as well as damage control to get you the best plea bargain offer possible. You take care of yourself, and I will take care of the rest.
